Translated from the French by W.J. Duffin. Ex-library: label on spine; bookplate inside cover; ink stamps on edges of page block, inside cover, on front matter. Contents otherwise clean and sound throughout; minor fading and edgewear to cover.

This introduction to microwave technology fills a gap in the English literature. The authors are experienced teachers in the field--their approach to the subject is clear, but at the same time detailed enough to provide a thorough grounding in microwave technology. There is coverage of all the relevant topics within the field, including both solid state and vacuum tube technology. The theory and concepts underlying the subject are discussed, as well as the practical considerations involved in the operation of microwave systems. Contains an up-to-date list of references.
