Middle (Tape Recorder Trilogy) (Volume 2)

In 2015, a man who has been alive since the last Ice Age bought a tape recorder. Over the course of three days he dictated his life story as fast as he could while waiting for a woman to visit who he believes will finally be the death of him.

What did he say on the second day? He traded Tyrian Purple dye all over the world. He was the guardian angel to a number of Phoenician queens. He founded Carthage and then watched it die. He circumnavigated Africa in a voyage almost lost in time. He did his best to ignore Rome’s rise and fall. He thought he was living through the end of the world. All these and more make up the second day’s session with the tape recorder.

Middle is the second book in the Tape Recorder Trilogy,

a journey from the earliest days of Humanity’s shared story, through myths and legends, pre-history and history, and right up to almost the present day, all told by a narrator who experienced it all first hand and is now free at last to tell you his life’s story with whatever time he has left.

Through his words, he hopes he will be remembered.
