The Midnight Star of Evergreen Lane (1)

Evergreen Lane is usually wrapped in snow by Christmas Eve, but this year the rooftops are bare, the streets are muddy, and the village has begun to forget the quiet magic that makes Christmas shine.

When ten-year-old Clara Finch discovers a tiny silver bell hidden beneath the attic floorboards, she awakens an old Christmas secret. The bell can hear the worries people keep inside, and it leads Clara onto a glowing road of lanterns in search of the fading Midnight Star.

With her curious brother Pip, her mysterious Grandad Finch, and a village full of neighbours in need of kindness, Clara must learn that Christmas is not found in snow, parcels, or perfect decorations, but in the small miracles people choose to share.
