A Midwinter Knight's Dream: A St. Louis Tale (Pass the Book for Literacy)

This children's book is authored by 25 different people, resulting in a very unique story. Readers follow a third grade class around the famous sites of St. Louis, trying to rescue their holiday memory drawings from an entity known as the Dream Spoiler. They are helped by various St. Louis citizens, vendors, a Midwestern mouse named Ben and a mysterious knight in shining armor.

If you plan to read this book, you have an ability that the children for whom it was written do not have. Many St. Louis area children are at risk of going through life with little or no reading ability. While many of us take our own literacy for granted, we cannot ignore the needs of these children.
