The Mighty Reverse Engineer

Magic is not evil by itself, but some witches and wizards use it to create evil spells. How do you fight against dark magic? The first step is to take it apart and understand how it works and is made. This is exactly what the Mighty Reverse Engineer sets out to do to help keep the kingdom safe from tricky dragons and other menacing foes.

Reverse engineering is an important career in cybersecurity because it helps defend our technologically advanced society from cyber attacks by analyzing many different types of malware, such as remote access trojans (RATs) and ransomware, to better understand how they function so preventative measures can be created. This charmingly illustrated picture book celebrates a woman in STEM and introduces children to reverse engineering concepts through a whimsical medieval tale that is engaging and understandable for any audience.
