Language: English. ABOUT THE BOOK The book tries to discuss a gender perspective on migration and Covid-19. The main purpose of this book is to critically examine the impact of Govt-19 among women migrant workers. During the COVID-19 pandemic, migrant workers faced many difficulties with the closure of plants and work environments in the country, large numbers of migrant workers were needed to manage the impact of wage shortages, food shortages and their future. Following this, a significant number of them and their families were starving. Many of them were locked up at the time and began to return home without any mode of transportation. The entire migrant workers in India have been seriously affected and they have also faced health problems. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Dr. A. RANJITHKUMAR is currently working in the Department of Women's Studies, Alagappa University, Tamil Nadu, India. He has worked as a researcher and teacher in various Indian Universities. He received M.A, B.P.Ed., PG Diploma in Industrial Relations and Labour Law, Master of Population Studies, and Ph.D. degrees from different Universities in India. He qualified the National Eligibility Test for Assistant Professor in Human Rights and Duties, Political Science, and Public Administration conducted by the University Grants Commission, Government of India. He was awarded Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Postdoctoral Fellowship in Humanities and Social Sciences (including languages) for the year 2014-15 from University Grants Commission, New Delhi, Government of India. His main research interests are in the areas of Dalit Studies and Development Administration. His various research papers have been published in leading professional journals. He has been an active member in the various committees and associations in India and abroad. He is an active editor and reviewer in Peer-Reviewed journals in National and International Journals. Ms. M. Eswari is working as a Research Associate in Centre for Women's Studies, Gandhigram Rural Institute - Deemed to be University, Tamil Nadu. She has completed Master of Women's Studies and Computer Application, M.Phil in Women's Studies and she is pursuing Ph.D in Womens' Studies. She has published more than 20 research articles in International, National journals, and Chapters in Edited books. She has Coordinator for study on Child Marriage Practices among Thottianayakkar Community in Karur District. She has been working as Field Executive in the AREDS, she has worked in the APAC Project, Karur. She has presented research paper in the seminars and conference in the national and international level. Dr. ANJI. A is working as a Teaching Faculty in Department and Research Centre for Women's Studies, Karnatak University, Dharwad. He pursued M.Phil in Women's Studies at Pondicherry University and obtained Ph.D in Women's Studies from Gandhigram Rural Institute, Tamil Nadu. Dr. Anji was received Doctoral Fellowship from Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi in 2011. He has published five books and more than sixteen research papers have been published in International and national journals. He has presented 45 research papers in international and national level. His research paper has been selected best research paper entitled Health Care Service in Tamil Nadu: a Model for Other States. He is actives members in various academic associations.
