Mila and the Map of Her Mind (Hardback or Cased Book)

Mila and the Map of Her Mind is a gentle and empowering story that helps children understand that different minds work in different ways. Mila's mind is full of ideas that buzz, zig-zag, and bounce from one thought to another. At school she tries hard to focus, but her busy thoughts often make learning feel difficult.

One evening, Mila discovers something magical: a colourful map and a small bird named Peep. Together they explore the map of Mila's mind and discover simple tools that help her understand how her brain works. With the Idea Parking Lot, the Focus Light, and Step Islands, Mila learns how to navigate her adventurous mind.

Written by neurodivergent author Yvette Hewett, this beautifully illustrated book encourages children to see their minds with curiosity rather than criticism. It celebrates the strengths of busy, creative thinkers while gently introducing practical ways to manage attention and tasks.

The book also includes discussion prompts for families and activity pages that help children explore their own "mind map," build self-understanding, and develop confidence in the way they think.

Every mind is unique, and every mind deserves its own map.
