(viii) � " 36 pages, 4to pages uncut, frontis and 23 full-page plates after drawings by Mr R.K. Porter. Some light spotting and age browning. Two marginal repairs to upper blank margin of two pages. Presentation inscription from the author to the half title. Bound in a later sprinkled half calf'. Gives detailed instructions on the loading presenting and firing of the musket, with excellent line drawings showing the preparing loading and firing. The illustrations are by Sir Robert Ker Porter (1777-1842), who became famous for his paintings of historical military scenes. Not recorded in Riling.
