1901. 340pp. Townshend 'took part in the battles of Dettingen 1743, Fontenoy 1745, Culloden 1746, Laffeldt 1747. & in the capture of Quebec 1759 from family documents not hitherto published.' With plans and illustrations. Inscribed by previous owner, 'Colonel 2nd Dragoon Guards 1773-1807.' Spine repaired with a lighter cloth, though there is still a 1" split to the front outer hinge. Titles to spine faded and corners rubbed. Nameplate of The Cavalry Club to front pastedown. The occasional mark to pages, but o/w they are clean. This is a good copy.
