In a contemporary half calf binding on marbled boards. Externally, smart. Light rubbing and bumping to the extremities and the spine, with light scuffing to the joints. Loss to leather spine author labels to both volumes of 'Jack Hinton'. Hinges starting to 'Arthur O'Leary'. Illustrated bookplate to the front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Binding loosening towards the middle of Vol I of 'Jack Hinton'. Pages are bright and clean, with light age-toning to text and the odd spot particularly to the first and last few pages.
