Millennium

Millennium by Ray Potter is a detailed theological treatise arguing for a future earthly Millennium. The author compiles and explains prophecies from across Scripture—notably Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, and especially Revelation—to support a premillennial view: that Christ will establish a literal thousand-year reign on earth after the defeat of Satan and the overthrow of Antichrist (embodied in the Papacy and Mohammedanism). The work traces a broad chronology from the supposed apostasy of the later Roman world through the rise of these powers, to the Millennium’s advent, describing key prophetic symbols such as the two witnesses, the dragon, and the seven seals, trumpets, and vials. It discusses the 1260-year timespan often tied to these prophecies (centered around 606 AD) and envisions a world of universal righteousness, knowledge, peace, abundance, and worship of the Lord, with sectarian strife abolished. Potter also critiques ecclesiastical corruption and urges repentance and spiritual preparation in light of prophetic expectations.
