An broad-ranging genealogy/family history, divided into two sections: 1) the Miller, Hamilton, Hays, Guessford section; 2) the Ritter, Werner, Schesser, Erbs section. The descendants and families of the following are traced up to about the year 2000. Includes and extensive number of portraits and family pictures and a name index. In the first section, the descendants are traced from George Miller (b. circa 1750, Pennsylvania) who settled and married near the village of Crocus, Adair County, Kentucky. This family spread out broadly across the United States, with some in Jasper County, Iowa; Kansas as well as many other places. The second section traces descendants from Valentin Ritter (b. 1823, Bernstett, Alsace), who migrated to Perth County, Ontario, Canada. Many descendants are found in Ontario and Norton County, Kansas, as well as in other Kansas counties, Oklahoma, Colorado, North Dakota, and other places.
