Millie's Adventures in Time: A "Proper" Science Fiction Story

Millie has a problem. It's two-fold. She knows nothing about science fiction and has never heard of time travel. So if you told her that her house sits squarely on a very specific nexus within the space-time continuum, she'd tell you that was hogwash.

One very peaceful afternoon, while attempting to relax with a nice post-lunch nap, science fiction comes to roost, right smack in the middle of her cozy little living in the form of a very oddly dressed young man named Nathaniel.

He appears out of thin air and Millie's life is never the same afterward.

Millie is a very down-to-earth mid-western woman who likes things just as they are. Change is not a word she uses often. But change is thrust upon her. And despite her desire to keep things as they are, she faces her new challenges in a most practical manner. Millie might be heard to say, "Well, my dears, if a thing happens then, of course, it can happen, no matter how outlandish it might seem."

"[her] use of language and writing style is great and very enviable." Nancy Gillett

It's full of wry humor and a bit of suspense. The characters are so real and endearing that you just have to know what happens to them next.

"Millie’s Adventures in Time is an enticing story that will keep you turning pages. You might plan to read a chapter or two then go to school or work, or to bed, but the curiosity of what might happen next teases you.

Millie goes from the mundane to the surreal after one rather shocking day. As her adventures continue, Millie experiences the expansion of her own existence, mind and spirit.

Millie’s Adventures in Time offers something for people of every age." Debra Todd

Follow Millie as she tries to make sense of all the strange things that are happening in her life. Watch as she makes new friends, some from a much unexpected quarter, and cements an old and enduring friendship even further.

This is modern science fiction at its best.
