Text block sound and complete. Early owner's signature to the front blank and end blank page. Pages age toned with scattered foxing, but generally clean and legible throughout. An authentic unrestored copy of John Gillies's influential scriptural commentary on Milton's Paradise Lost, preserved in its original early nineteenth-century calf binding.
