Mind Control (2) (Medici Protectorate)

Clarity is liberating. Until it paralyzes.

The warriors of the Medici Protectorate have faced and overcome their trial by fire in protecting the Notaros, the quartet of strong and resilient sisters who are the secret descendants of the ancient Medici line and the rightful heirs to the throne of Italy. Their task, however, is nowhere near complete--someone still wants the Notaro family dead. Only the Brotherhood stands between the sisters and the organization bent on destroying them.

Vinnie Falco works undercover day and night to keep watch over Jo Notaro, whose fiery temper is as intense as her boundless energy and understated beauty. But Jo is unable to withstand the endless scrutiny, the constant surveillance. Vinnie's ever-watchful gaze lingers too long--so long it becomes a tangible sensation--and she doesn't know if she loathes or loves it. Their connection is clear and overwhelming, but the specters of their respective pasts make them both wary of more.

As danger mounts and their fates intertwine, Vinnie and Jo must face their demons together and reveal the deeply-held secrets they've both been trying so desperately to hide--the kind of secrets that could destroy them all.

STACI TROILO grew up knowing family is paramount. She spent time with extended family daily, not just on holidays or weekends. Because of those close knit familial bonds, every day was full of love and laughter, food and fun. Life has taken her a thousand miles away from that extended family, but those ties remain. And so do the traditions, which she now shares with her husband, son, and daughter... even her two dogs. And through her fiction, she shares the importance of relationships with you. Mystery or suspense, romance or mainstream-in her stories, family is paramount.
