About the Author
Myrtle P. Bell is Professor of Management at the University of Texas at Arlington, where she has taught diversity courses to graduate and undergraduate students for more than 15 years. She has degrees from the University of Notre Dame, Louisiana State University, and the University of Texas at Arlington. Her research focuses on diversity and social issues at work and appears in leading academic journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Learning & Education, Journal of Applied Psychology, Gender, Work & Organization, Human Resource Management, and Journal of Vocational Behavior and in numerous edited volumes. She is an active member of the Gender and Diversity in Organizations Division of the Academy of Management, which she has chaired, and has served as a member of the Academy's Board of Governors. She has been recognized internationally for her diversity scholarship, mentoring, and teaching.
