Mini to Mega Tsunami: A Healthier Perspective on Grief (Paperback or Softback)

“. . . Ron offers us a model for grief that is analytical, practical, and deeply personal . . . Part primer, part reference manual, part memoir—I am thankful to finally have a book on grief that I can put in a congregant’s hand before they might need it.”

— Rev. Dan Schumacher

Senior Pastor, First Baptist Church

Colorado Springs, Colorado

In Mini to Mega Tsunami: A Healthier Perspective on Grief, discover a compassionate and insightful exploration of one of the most painful parts of loving and living in any age. Situating grief within the natural world, this book gently reminds us that death, like birth, is a natural and inherent part of life.

Author Ron Crawford, a seasoned pastor, draws upon his experience guiding hundreds of families through sorrow and his own transformative journey of losing his wife. His expertise informs the book’s unique categorization of our pain after loss: non-grief, grief, severe grief, and profound grief. Recognizing each person’s grief journey as uniquely individual—like a fingerprint—this book offers a supportive and nonjudgmental space for self-discovery.

Ideal for those seeking a deeper understanding of their own grief, recent or long felt, this book provides a refreshing and empowering perspective.

Ron Crawford served as a pastor for twenty-seven years in Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida before his decade-long service as president of Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond; he retired in 2017. He is a graduate of North Carolina State University, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Virginia Commonwealth University. He now lives with his wife, Melanie, in Powhatan County, Virginia. His ongoing interests include writing, woodworking, yard work, and scuba diving.
