Part of the publisher's "Images of America series," which are photo essays on some locality, with hundreds of captioned black & white photographs, usually two to a page. A history of mining in the Butte, Montana area, with photos of mining camps, mining equipment, drilling tunnels, transportation of ore, etc. 6½ x 9¼ inches, 128 pages. Mostly in very good condition, but there are some scuffs to the cover, and a small tear (about 1/8 inch) at the bottom of the spine.
