Ministry Training STUDENT ONE: First Steps Toward Developing Your Ministry

Becoming. Becoming involves the first steps for a person to develop their spiritual life and ministry. We desire to be a blessing to all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. We are seeking to encourage people to reach their full potential in Christ Jesus. We pray our bible study materials will help people to overcome past issues, inspire our students to be empowered by the Holy Spirit to lead effective and Godly lives.

Our materials are fully based on the Word of God. We believe the Bible is the sourcebook of life itself. It is the sole authoritative work for those who follow Jesus Christ. As such, it’s the book that hundreds of millions read for inspiration, guidance, and instruction. But for such an ancient document, the Bible has unmatched levels of internal and external evidence for its accuracy and authority. We believe that the Holy Spirit desires to fill us with His goodness, His grace and His glory. Being full of the Spirit brings information and transformation to our lives.

The information in this book is not for information sake only, but to provide illumination concerning the Lord Jesus and His will for your life and ministry. When we conform to the understanding we are given, we are spiritually transformed from faith to faith. (Romans 1:17)

The author and facilitator of our this material is Robert Stone. Robert is founder and president of Destiny Reformation Ministries, Inc. Robert has developed a strategy for helping people to become all that they can be.

This strategy includes:
• Ministry and Serving—The biblical imperative of serving and the discovery, development and use of spiritual gifts.
• Stewardship—Including the stewardship of our lives and our resources.
• The Bible--Biblical backgrounds, basic interpretive skills and bible study methods.
• Spiritual Disciplines—prayer, fasting, daily devotions, personal and corporate worship, meditation, solitude, etc.
• The Calling, Choosing, Preparing and Sending of new Pastors and Church Leaders.
• Worship—The development of a theology of life in worship and in having a continued openness to the Holy Spirit’s movement in our small group and corporate gatherings.

Robert and his wife, Susan, have been in ministry for forty plus years. Robert has had the privilege of serving as a missionary evangelist to over twenty-seven countries and forty-three states.
