Jan Joannides and Brett Olson live in Zumbro Falls, Minnesota, with their daughter Olivia and son Axel. In 2002, Jan and Brett co-founded Renewing the Countryside, a Minnesota nonprofit that strengthens rural areas by supporting farmers, entrepreneurs, and other people who are engaged in sustainable and innovative initiatives, businesses, and projects. Jan is currently executive director and Brett is creative director.
