Miracles Still Happen

"Chaplain you've got to get down here and help, I can't manage this scene anymore!" "How do we let our son die at so young an age, please help us chaplain!" "I could not have carried on without the chaplain helping me through my toughest life crisis". " There is no manual to consult for direction when called upon to tell a loved one of the sudden death of family member". " The 911 site in New York was so overwhelming that words alone cannot express the gravity of the scene." These are real excerpts from the people involved in the fire profession who called on a chaplain to help. Yet these life experiences are not firefighters alone, everyone has a crisis of some kind, and the Christian is the person who can provide care, comfort and direction at such a time because of the power God provides. It was out of these tragic situations where this chaplain saw how God's miracles were played out. We answer the calls to 9-1-1, yet we ourselves fall victim to life 's crisis. The chaplain is the "go to" person whenever a L.A. County Firefighter needed help from either a professional or personal crisis. The results of these interventions revealed God's power in the outcome of the lives of the people involved, and the fact that miraculous outcomes still occur is testament to that fact.. This book recounts those chaplain interventions, and illustrates the lighter moments in what is involved in being a chaplain in one of the largest fire departments in the country. By God's grace and mercy miracles still happen, you need the right glasses on to see them. This chaplain is giving away those glasses.
