This 31-day devotional is designed to help children ages 8-11 (or 12) explore the miracles of Jesus. It has a twofold purpose:
STRENGTHEN CHILDREN'S READING COMPREHENSION
as they answer questions, reflect on key themes, and color illustrations that highlight an important point in each story;
INTRODUCE CHILDREN TO JESUS
and help them understand that the same Jesus who performed those miracles is alive today and desires a personal relationship with them.
The book returns to time-tested, traditional approaches to reading, supported by current research. It is written with the prayer that families, homeschool groups, private Christian schools, Sunday schools, and other ministries serving children will use this devotional as a discipleship tool to plant the seeds of Scripture in young hearts so the Holy Spirit can nurture them to bear lasting fruit.
Janet George is an educator, author, and professor with a heartfelt commitment to empowering teachers to thrive in every season of their careers. She holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Oral Roberts University, where she now serves in the College of Education, training the next generation of K-12 teachers. In addition to teaching, she mentors and coaches new educators, helping them enter the classroom with confidence, clarity, and compassion. Driven by a passion to equip teachers both nationally and internationally, Janet is especially committed to supporting Christian educators. One of her areas of expertise is biblical integration-guiding teachers and administrators to teach every subject through a biblical worldview in meaningful, practical ways.Janet's global perspective began forming early. She grew up on the island of Bahrain and is shaped deeply by her Indian heritage. Her love for literature led her to earn a master's degree in the field, and she often says that reading is "as important as breathing." This conviction fuels her research in literacy development and her commitment to ensuring that all children become fluent readers. Today, Janet lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with her husband, Prinson.
