Mirov 1: The Memory of a Lost World (Paperback or Softback)

Imagine waking up and realizing you are no longer in the world you slept in—what would that feel like?

That is exactly what happened to Edgar Valence, who woke up in 2032 on a roadside bench in Manhattan. According to his ID, he was an American resident of New York—yet the world before him felt completely unfamiliar.

Worse, he could not remember who he was.

Slowly, another identity began to surface—he was from a village in India, from the era of the Mughal Empire, when Jahangir ruled. Nothing around him matched that life, yet everything felt strangely familiar. In his time, there were no modern clothes, no cars, no towering buildings.

He had never fought a battle, yet his body moved like a trained martial artist. The woman claiming to be his wife was a stranger. Everything had changed—his land, his people, even his body and gender.

As fragments of his present life returned, so did danger. Unknown men began hunting him, claiming he had killed a syndicate leader and stolen ten billion dollars—something he was certain he had never done.

At the same time, a deeper mystery emerged from his past—a hidden treasure of priceless artifacts looted from across the world. Once pursued by Dutch, French, and British forces, and even tied to dangerous alliances, it had vanished without a trace. History recorded no recovery—only rumors.

Which meant one thing: it should still be where it was left.

And somehow, he remembered that place.

He also remembered its guardian—a man who called himself the keeper of that enigma and claimed to be two hundred years old.

But Edgar’s return after four centuries—and the possibility that the legend was real—alerted powerful governments. What followed was a relentless race to claim the treasure.

Yet the land where it lay was no longer the same. It was now ruled by forces who thrived on plunder themselves.

And with it came unsettling questions—things that should never have existed in that era, yet somehow did.

And no one knew why.
