XXiv pp + 240 pages with 37 vignette woodcut head and tail pieces after Bewick, lacks spine and top board detached and back board just holding, tile page and FFEp and frontis loose, but not damaged with any loss, contents all very clean and tight, there is a bookplate for "Jane Charlotte O'Connor 1799" with the motif hand done in ink, the owners name also appears again on top edge of the title page. 12 mo. *Appeared the year 1798 in 1st edition format, this 2nd edition appeared with the date 1799. We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor Fine would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance. We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully.
