Polished brown calf, with dulled gilt border. Corners bumped and edges rubbed. Smooth spine, with faded decoration and chipped leather title label: "Goldsmith Essays". Light soiling to endpapers, with a few pencil doodles. Clear English text throughout, just a few light brown marks and a couple of marginal page chips. Essays pp.9 - 174; Poems pp.181 - 230.
