New Edition. Illustrated by George Cruikshank. 23 x 15 cm. xl, 966 pages. With a frontispiece showing Tobias Smollett and 19 plates by George Cruikshank (complete). Half calf over marbled boards. Marbled end papers and edges. Gilt decorations and gilt title (on black label) on spine. Very good condition. Corners, boards and spine rubbed and bumped. 5 cm crack to top of front joint. Binding sound. Edges dust dulled. Internally slightly age darkened. Some browning to plates.
