The Miscellaneous Works of Tim Bobbin

A fantastic collection of satirical character sketches and images from the 'Lancashire Hogarth'. Featuring a frontispiece and numerous further plates featuring Collier's humorous illustrations and caricatures. 'Containing his view of the Lancashire dialect, with large additions and improvements: also, his poem of the flying dragon and the man of Heaton; together with other whimsical amusements in prose and verse. To which is added a life of the author'. With armorial bookplate of S. F. Widdrington to front pastedown. In a blindstamped full calf binding. Externally sound although somewhat rubbed. Internally, firmly bound. Many pages age-toned and dusted with occasional marks, but remain very clear and enjoyable to read. Very Good.
