In good condition. Ex-library Spine soiled and faded. Edges faded with crushing to corners. Evidence of a removed bookplate on front pastedown. Torn tissue guard on frontispiece. Interior lightly toned with minimal foxing. Free of marginalia. Binding tight and intact. Please see photos. A first edition of this uncommon work by James B. Everhart. First edition. James Bowen Everhart (July 26, 1821 ? August 23, 1888) was a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Pennsylvania. His writings, which are marked by terseness of style, include Miscellanies, in prose (West Chester, Pa, 1862); a volume of short poems (Philadelphia, 1868); and The Fox Chase, a poem (Philadelphia, 1875).
