A smart copy of a scarce theatrical edition of Henry Fielding"s successful adaptation of Moliere"s "The Miser." Rebound in a later sage green cloth, endpapers renewed. An undated edition, dated cira 1790 by ESTC, No.: N4492. A later 18th century theatrical edition of Fielding"s popular comedy, first performed at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, in 1733. Internally firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean, if age toned with one or two light spots and handling marks to fore edge. Title page slightly more browned, with two contemporary ink crossings-through to the head. Good.…
