The Misfit

Kevin Miller, an idealistic young man, returns to his hometown Memphis after graduating in theology to practice what he had learned. But what he did not expect was having to confront members of organized crime as well as his own father, a fundamentalist pastor and powerful businessman in town, to stay true faithful to his Christian values. In a rollercoaster trajectory filled with successes and weaknesses, Kevin Miller makes disciples out of many, falls in love, undergoes multiple suffering, and finally breaks away from the legalistic religion as practiced by many in the Bible Belt.

Provocative and thrilling, The Misfit explores the dark side of the Christian faith, and at the same time, reveals that there is always hope and a way towards finding true love.
