Misguided

MERRY BRAX-MAS!

Eighth-grader Daniel Ford is king of the tour guides. When he’s not in school, he leads folks around his beloved hometown of Braxton, where every day is Christmas Day. There’s no question he can’t answer, no fact he doesn’t know … until he stumbles upon a secret that could shatter Braxton’s picture-perfect image.

WHOA.

That discovery launches Daniel and three unlikely allies on a hunt across Braxton, following century-old clues through a crumbling toy factory, down an abandoned well, and into underground catacombs. At the end of the trail lies a legendary treasure rumored to grant its owner’s deepest wish.

But Daniel and his friends aren’t the only ones searching for it. And as Christmas Eve approaches, they must uncover the truth about the treasure before its power tears Braxton apart.

Braxton’s best tour guide is now being led on a tour of his own … and it’s going to take every skill he’s got to survive.

Packed with century-old clues, hidden passages, danger, humor, and unlikely teamwork, Misguided is a twist-filled middle-grade treasure-hunt mystery for fans of James Ponti’s The Sherlock Society, The 39 Clues, and Gordon Korman’s Masterminds.
