Missing Connections

In "No Connections," Michael muses over a childhood marred by the lack of affection, parental support, and emotional guidance. His father abandoned him as an infant, and he didn't meet his mother until the age of thirteen. He was raised by caretakers in an environment that provided supervision but offered minimal nurturing and emotional support. Devoid of emotional support, he is forced to learn about life on his own. Consequently, those connections were formed later in life through experiences and mistakes.

Through storytelling, he examines the impact of pivotal life events that shaped his understanding of relationships, identity, and his emotional landscape. These "pivot points" forced him to face the lack of closeness that had defined his formative years.

Now in my 80s, I've been writing for nearly thirty years. I live in Seattle with my wife, Gale. We both love reading, music, dining adventures, good wine, and each other's company.

I love writing, and I hope you'll check out some of my other efforts, both fiction and non-fiction, as well as my website.
