Joan Musick started sewing as a young teenager. She made a lot of her own clothes, including her wedding dress. Her first quilt was made in 1980, but the quilting bug didn't really hit until she made her first “Quilt In A Day” in 1983. Since that time, Joan has made over 100 quilts of various shapes, sizes, and patterns. Many have been prize winners, but she says that a lot of them are just “hugs to wrap up in.” Joan likes to make quilts because there is never any worry about the right size; they fit everyone! She lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado, married to her high school sweetheart, Dennis. They have 2 sons, 2 dogs, and 3 cats. Nearly all of her quilts are “cat tested” by her willing felines, who indicate that the quilts are fit to be slept with.
