The Missing Little Mitten ...and a special note: Great Reads for Grandparents and Kids

The author actually found a little monkey-faced mitten in her local library’s parking lot. Marge Kroh wrote a story based on the find. We join an imaginary family, the little owner and their adventure in looking for the lost mitten. The child’s name reflects on why she needs to find this missing little mitten, what she learns from the venture and the outcome from her decision at the end. This light-hearted book is also a teaching tool for young children in the three to nine-year-old age groups where Grandparents and others may help to teach words, numbers, and guide honourable ethics while having fun with a story. The intention of this tale is also to bring the young, adults and elderly caretakers together to produce loving relationships.

Author, Marge Kroh, has a degree in Art, Theology and Teaching (K-8th grade). As a mother of three adult children, two granddaughters, one great-granddaughter, a teacher and Director of Religious education she felt her background fit right in with writing Children's Books. Writing for an elementary school newspaper, Flyers for local school, parish and museum events set the stage to the ideas of the many short stories always running around in her head. So Marge thought it was about time to start writing when she retired in 2011. With now five picture books for three to nine year olds and one for any age under her belt she is ready to write more. A few of the picture books have coloring sections and some are also eBooks. Two blogs and a website inspire book titles and characters, while sharing interests in the environment, pets, animals, insects, birds, plants, people, visited towns, and other locations. Chapter books with a hint of cliff hangers for children from four to fourteen years old are now ready for publishing and her next adventure in writing. Even though art was a first love and taught from home, then some personal paintings were applied to clothing with one framed watercolor in particular which was purchased before an entered art show had started was bought, the author gave it up to be a Religious educator. There are so many fabulous artists out there. Maybe one will help her books inspire children to read, feel entertained and build caring relationships with Grandparents, family members, friends, and others.
