I was born and raised on eastern Long Island, New York and fell in love with the written word at a young age. My early plans to be a writer were eclipsed when, at college registration, my work schedule conflicted with the timing of the one English class still available to first semester freshman. For some reason I still don't understand, even though I was a declared English major and a native English speaker, I was denied access to second semester English without having taken its precursor. I eventually took the English classes in order, but my interests had morphed and I graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Sociology, and much confusion about what I was going to do with my life.

Fast forward forty years: instead of writing news articles and novels, I managed contracts and reviewed terms and conditions. I retired in 2014 from my position as Senior Director of Contracts and Compliance for a defense electronics company. Not a bad career, but a far cry from my earlier plans to be an award-winning journalist and published novelist--although cross country moves to Colorado and the Washington D.C. metropolitan area provided helpful location material for the books I would eventually write. As I planned for retirement, I resurrected my youthful dreams to be a writer. My first novel, SECOND CHANCES,was published in 2015, a year after I left the corporate world without a backward glance.

In 2016, my husband and I moved to The Villages in central Florida. When I'm not writing, I'm riding my horse, reading, gardening, golfing, or taking photographs. Retirement allows me the time to focus on a second career, and enjoy life. I am actively involved in The Writer's League of The Villages (WLOV) and a member of the Florida Writers Association (FWA). I was honored when MISSING ON MAPLE STREET became a Finalist in the 2019 FWA Royal Palm Literary Award Competition,

My fifth novel, ANOTHER CHANCE, the final release in the SECOND CHANCES trilogy, was published in December 2019.
