The Missing Moccasin shares a story of the Blackfoot Indians Nation through the eyes of a little girl named Nuttah. Even at age 5, she could see the distress in all the faces including her father’s and the other villagers’. Although she did not fully understand the reasons why they had to leave their land in Montana and move to Canada, she would always try to cheer up her family and friends. The Blackfoot Nation was forced by the US government to move Canada and in their haste to leave the Great Lakes region before winter, many of their belongings were left behind.

About the Author
Growing up in Cleveland, Ohio in an international environment where an emphasis was always placed on the three R's, I found myself as a child writing my own short stories and lyrics to songs. I love mystery books and the anticipation of who done it. In the 50’s my favorite radio serialized dramas were ''The Shadow'' and “The Squeaking Door.” Even today, I enjoy mysteries and crime television series shows. As the youngest of three, I always valued my isolated moments. Although I enjoyed the companionship of my two sisters, I also relished my time alone just contemplating about the future. These were sacred occasions during the summer nights sitting on the front porch steps and gazing up at the stars. With a strong religious background and having faith in God, my path in life was somewhat easy. Supernaturally, I was always led to a positive person that would offer guidance to keep me on the straight and narrow. For foster children growing up in the 50's this was not an easy task, but my social worker, Mrs. Helen Jenkins made it possible. After completing graduate school in 1974, with a Masters in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, I decided to give back to society. I taught for over 50 years, this included the six-years at Southeastern University (SEU), Washington, D.C., as Assistant Professor for the Department of Liberal Studies, Child Development Program. I relocated to Las Vegas, NV in 2009, and I ended my full-time position teaching ESL with Catholic Charity in Las Vegas, NV in August 2015. My first book “The Princess of the Milky Way” was published in December 2015. Being a new writer, I seized the opportunity to conduct research on the environmental locations of the characters. I discovered that this method positions me in the center of the action, which helps to make the stories more realistic. Now as a grandmother, it is impossible to have much alone time. My two grandchildren Maya and Gabriel Jovan, are interested in the books that I have written and want to share their own stories and pictures. Maya's book "The Candy Castle" was published in June 2016, and Gabriel's book "A Giant Named Hugo" was published in September 2016. They are young children with vivid imaginations and I am looking forward to collaborating on more books with them.
