About the Author

Midge Leavey is from Long Island, New York. Midge is the owner and founder of Miss Midgies Preschool, located in West Babylon, NY since 2000. She also has two boys of her own, one of which suffered from separation anxiety between the ages of 3 - 5 years old. After reading many magazine articles, parenting books and visits to the psychologists and a lot of crying she decided to put all of her knowledge into a book to help other mothers with this same problem. This story allows children to relate to the anxiety the boy is feeling in the story and understand the meaining of a wristband that bonds parent and child for an anxiety free school day.
