Highly Collectible Book that is nicely signed by the Author, who died in 1999. Hardback book of 438 pages with Dust Jacket is in Very Good condition with a tight binding and clean crisp pages. This apparent First Edition appears unread. The book is nicely signed in the middle of the first blank end page with NO inscription. Outside cloth covers are nice. Dust Jacket is price clipped and shows some fading and chipping along the edges. Dr. Turner was a History Professor at Iowa State College, University of Minnesota, University of Richmond, and finished his career at Washington and Lee University. Turner wrote many books, but this was his second one. He died in Lexington, Virginia in 1999. This book has come from a special Washington and University Collection and was bought at their annual sale. Dust Jacket is now covered by a new clear mylar cover. Seller Inventory # 141122A
