Folio [40 cm] 3/4 later brown leather with the original gilt stamped and embossed brown cloth over boards. The boards have been skillfully restored along the edges. There is a minor nick in the cloth of the front board. The front free endpaper has had a number of tissue repairs. Missing 11 maps (12-19; 21-23). Bold hand-colored maps. 3 double-page maps present here. All with decorative borders. May require extra postage due to weight. Mitchell's New General Atlas was originally published in 1860. This atlas replaced the New Universal Atlas. Later 1865 printing of Mitchell's New General Atlas. Seller Inventory # 57604
