About this title

Synopsis

The 13 papers in this collection describe some main results, techniques, and research directions in the application of model theory to combinatorics--one of the last areas of mathematics to receive such attention. Most of them combine comprehensive surveys as well as new results. The topics include spectra and systems of equations, methods for algorithmic meta theorems, counting homomorphisms and the partition functions, the symmetric indivisibility of countable structures, and reducts of Ramsey structures. There is no index. Annotation ©2012 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
