David received his BFA in three-dimensional animation form the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design. While at RISD, he received his first job with a local producer creating live-action special effects for low-budget horror films. In 1991 he moved to southern California and into big-budge special-effects animation. David went on to work for such notable names as Ralph Bakshi (Cool World/Paramount), Don Bluth (Troll in Central Park, Thumbelina, The Pebble and the Penguin), The Walt Disney Studios)Beauty and the Beast, and Rich Animation Studios (The Swan Princess).
