Das Modell - The Model - El Modelo: Antoni Gaudis Hängemodell und seine Rekonstruktion - Neue Erkenntnisse zum Entwurf

272 pages with numerous Illustrations. 21 x 27 cm, original brochure * Antoni Gaudi's famous hanging model is the model par excellence for many architects. Gaudi built it in 1898-1908 as a church design for the Colonia Güell. This model was reconstructed in 1982 by the Institute for Lightweight Structures at the University of Stuttgart and by the Gaudi Group at the TU Delft based on old documents. With this publication, the creation of Gaudi's hanging model and his most important church design can now be traced in detail. The complicated process of model reconstruction is also comprehensively presented. On the basis of the model reconstruction, an evaluation of the surviving documents and an examination of the constructed parts of the building, the lost church design can be presented in full for the first time in drawings. - Trilingual German, English, Spanish.
