Modelling Figures in Clay. Upright Animals.

The book contains details of six practical projects each one described in a step by step easy to follow manner, simple basic shapes are used as building blocks in the creation of each model. Models in this publication have been developed over years of teaching practical, hands-on pottery to school children, adults and students with special educational needs. Basic pottery skills are embodied in the designs and the upright nature of the figures leads to self expression from students who can decorate the figures as imaginary people, adding hats, aprons scarves and even sport shirts. Enjoy your clay modelling.

Practical potter with twenty years hands-on experience in nursery and primary schools. Pottery work with youth groups and adult groups. Ten years as a college lecturer teaching pottery skills to youths and adults with special educational needs. During these periods I documented the development of practical pottery projects which I have decided to share with anyone wishing to develop their clay modelling and general pottery skills. I am also producing the same information as DVDs.
