João Filipe Matos, professor of mathematics education at the University of Lisbon, was secretary of the International Group for Psychology in Mathematics Education from 1996-1999. Werner Blum is a professor of mathematics and mathematics education at the University of Kassel, Germany. Ken Houston is professor of mathematical studies in the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences, University of Ulster. Susana Paula Carrelra is a professor of mathematics education at New University of Lisbon.
