Thumb marking present. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. There is bumping to corners and crushing to spine ends. Tanning to spine and edges. Gilt lettering is darkened. Pages are notably thumb-marked with moderate tanning and foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Former owner's inscription to front free endpaper, with a pencil inscription to paste-down. Mild cracking to gutters with exposed netting. Binding remains firm. Gutters are crinkled, with a few small nicks along text block edge. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with slight bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Moderate tanning to spine and edges, with visible crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean.
