Modern Chivalry V1: Containing The Adventures Of Captain John Farrago And Teague O'Regan, His Servant

Modern Chivalry Volume 1 is a novel written by Hugh Henry Brackenridge. It tells the story of Captain John Farrago, a wealthy and eccentric man who embarks on a journey through the American countryside with his loyal servant, Teague O'Regan. Along the way, they encounter a variety of characters and have many misadventures, including getting lost in the wilderness, being captured by Native Americans, and getting into a fight with a group of rowdy travelers. Throughout their travels, Farrago and O'Regan display a sense of chivalry and honor, even in the face of danger and adversity. The novel is a satirical take on the concept of chivalry and the ideals of the American Revolution. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
