Folded. Modern Prague Map includes a map, an introduction to Prague's 20th century architecture by Adam Stech, original photography by Tomas Soucek and details of fifty buildings representing the city's remarkable array of styles: from Cubism and Modernism to Brutalism and Post-Modernism. Perfect for a walking tour or framing, this map measures slightly larger than A2 open, folds to slightly larger than A5 and is protected by a wide band. All of our printed publications are printed by a quality family-run and carbon-neutral press on quality recycled paper. Adam Stech has been active in the fields of design, architecture, fashion and graphic arts as a theoretician, journalist and curator since 2006. He is a co-founder of Prague-based Okolo Studio, the editor of design magazine Dolce Vita and contributor for several international magazines including Wallpaper, Cool Hunting, Damn, A10, Mark, Frame and much more. He teaches at Scholastika in Prague. This two-sided, bilingual map is a guide to Prague's most distinctive 20th century architecture, from Cubism to Art Deco, Modernism to Socialist Realism, and eventually Post-Modernism. The map is an invitation to explore Prague's unique and extraordinary architectural styles in recent times. In English and Czech. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.…
