!808 first English edition, translated from the last Paris edition of 1807. Volumes 2, 3 and 4 only, of 4 volumes. The texts are in very good, tight, clean condition, with light age-browning of the blank end papers and some other pages. No inscriptions. The attractive, 19th Century, full tree-calf bindings are in good-very good condition, with minor wear to spine ends. Pagination 1V, 360; 1V, 380; 1V, 384 plus 24-page list of Post Roads in Spain. The rare quarto atlas of plates and a large folding map of Spain, issued separately in 1808, is also available at an additional £490 (see my ABE entry Atlas to the Modern State of Spain).
