The present work is the result of the revision of the supraspecific taxa Diminae Candèze, 1863 and Senodoniinae Schenkling, 1927. Simultaneous revisions have been necessary as the concerning species were mxed up so far in both categories. The phylogenetic importance and the ystematic formations of the supraspecific taxa were examined, assessed and adjusted. It is shown that the supraspecific taxa Alaodima Dolin, 1980, Brancuccia Schimmel & Platia, 1991, Sabahdima Schimmel & Platia, 1993, Csikia Szombathy, 1910, Dima Charpentier, 1825, Neocsikia Ohira & Becker, 1972, Neodima Schimmel & Platia, 1992, Paracsikia Schimmel & Platia, 1991, Parapenia Schimmel & Platia, 1991, Sossor Candèze, 1863, and Senodonia Schenkling, 1927, as well as 19 further, unnamed groups, belonging to the same monophylum. The supraspecific taxon Mucromorphus Ohira, 1962, is removed from Senodoniina Schenkling and placed into the Hemicrepidiina Champion, 1894. Generally 168 species have been adapted. For one species it is recommended to establish a neotype. For two species lectotypes have been settled. Six species have been designated as new combinations, and other eight species have been described as new to science. Six species have been established as sp. incertae sedis. Bibliography, faunistics, dates of type materal and its preservation, as well as global information for each species is given. New taxa: Brancuccia horaki n. sp., Dima bhutanensis n. sp., Dima holzschuhi n. sp., Penia brancuccii n. sp., Penia nobdingensis n. sp., Penia smetanai n. sp., Penia wangdiensis n. sp., Senodonia siamensis n. sp. 227 pp., 502 figs, 18 (partly color) photos, 120 distribution maps, br. 8.
