The original poster for one of the very first exhibitions at P.S.1, held over four consecutive Sundays from September 19 through to October 10, 1976. The Institute for Art and Urban Resources had taken over the abandoned public-school building in Long Island City, Queens earlier in the same year. After the inaugural 1976 exhibition, entitled ?Rooms?, much of the building was rented out to artists, and the only other exhibition held at P.S.1 that year was ?A Month of Sundays?, which was more a coordinated series of open studios, rather than a traditional exhibition. The show included some of the installations still existing from the preceeding Rooms exhibit, plus many whose work was new to the space. Artists included Jared Bark, Daniel Buren, Joel Fisher, Frank Gillette, Bruce Nauman, Max Neuhaus, Lucio Pozzi, Alan Saret, Richard Serra, Charles Simonds, Lawrence Weiner, Doug Wheeler, Jean Dupuy, Jana Haimsohn, Shigeko Kubota, Nam June Paik, Charlemagne Palestine, Richard Nonas, Carl Andre, Maryanne Amacher, and many others. Poster folded three times for mailing.
